Celia, la cabrita con malformación, disfrutando del nuevo Santuario
Ella es una cabrita que llegó al Santuario con pocos días de vida desde Mallorca, porque al nacer con malformación en sus dos extremidades delanteras la abandonaron.
Desde que llegó se le ha estado haciendo fisioterapia para mejorar una de sus extremidades, y le fue también que comenzó a caminar, pero ahora que se ha hecho más mayor y pesa más ha empeorado.
Vamos a llevarla a un especialista en ortopedia para hacerle unas prótesis que le ayuden a caminar, y aunque siempre vaya a depender de nosotros, podrá tener más independencia.
Ella tiene un vínculo muy fuerte con Ismael, uno de los fundadores, que en cuanto lo escucha de lejos se pone a llorar para que la coja en brazos y la lleve a pastar con los demás habitantes del Santuario. Tiene que estar separada del resto para que no le hagan daño jugando, ya que tiene muy poca estabilidad, pero bajo nuestra supervisión ella disfruta como la que más jugando con su familia, la familia Gaia.

Celia, the disabled baby goat having fun in the new Sanctuary.
She is a baby goat who came to the Sanctuary from Majorca when she was just a few days old. She had been abandoned because she was born with a deformity on her front legs.
She has had physiotherapy sessions since her arrival in an attempt to improve the mobility of her legs. It proved to be successful and she started to walk. However now things have worsened a little bit because she’s grown up and her weight has gone up too.
We’re going to take her to an orthopedist specialist to get a prosthesis done. This will aid her in her walking and although she will always be dependant on us, she will be able to have a little more of independence.
She shares a strong bond with Ismael, one of the founders. Whenever she hears him, she starts crying to call his attention. She just want to be picked up and taken to join the other residents of Sanctuary whilst they’re grazing. She needs to be separated from the others so that she doesn’t get hurt when they play. She has little balance, but under our supervision, she has a great time playing with her family, the Gaia family.
