CELIA YA NO CAMINA, ¿LA AYUDAMOS?
Ayer cuando llevamos a Javi al Hospital Veterinario de la Universidad de Barcelona también llevamos a Celia para que la viera un especialista en traumatología.
Desde hace dos semanas Celia ha dejado de caminar debido a que la extremidad delantera que conseguimos que mejorara ya no soporta su peso al haber crecido. Pesa 16 kg y tiene que llegar sobre los 40 kg, con lo cual cada vez irá a peor.
En Santuario Gaia no nos damos por vencidos y vamos a hacer todo lo posible para que tenga una buena calidad de vida y sea lo más independiente posible, por eso en estos días nos avisarán de la fecha en la que será operada para ponerle una prótesis biónica.
Cuando termine su crecimiento se estudiará mejorar su otra extremidad que tiene mirando hacia arriba.

CELIA CANNOT WALK ANY LONGER, SHALL WE HELP HER?
Yesterday when we took Javi to the Barcelona University Veterinary Hospital we also took Celia to be seen by an Orthopedic specialist.
She gave up walking two weeks ago. She has grown up and the front limb in which she had shown some improvement cannot hold the extra weight any longer. She currently weighs around 16 Kilos but she could get up to 40 Kilos, which means things will get worse.
Santuario Gaia won’t give up and we will do everything we can to offer her a good quality of life and as much independence as possible. The vets will notify us about the date for her surgery to put her a bionic prosthesis.
When she stops growing, the other limb which is facing up, will be assessed again to try and improve it.
