Muchas veces nos encontramos con imágenes o vídeos mostrando violencia hacia animales o niños. En la mayoría de las ocasiones, no tenemos forma de saber quién está detrás de ese maltrato, pero eso no significa que no haya nada que podamos hacer. Aquí tenéis los pasos a seguir:
1. No denuncies ante Facebook – Si ves imágenes de esta índole en Facebook, o páginas o grupos que las difundan, es muy importante no denunciar ante Facebook, ya que estos lo único que harán será borrar la imagen, y por lo tanto nunca se podrá encontrar información de cómo, cuándo y sobre todo quién, es el causante.
2. Denuncia ante Interpol en este enlace ⇒⇒Denuncia Interpol
3. Rellena los datos que te piden:
– Tu correo electrónico
– Título del correo (pon algo así: “Violencia gráfica en Facebook”)
– En el cuerpo del mensaje pega la dirección de la foto o vídeo que quieres denunciar, y añade un mensaje corto (debajo ponemos un ejemplo en español e inglés).
Ejemplo español: “He sido testigo de un caso flagrante de crueldad animal (o abuso infantil) en Facebook, en el siguiente enlace: xxxxxx
Estas imágenes son tremendamente inquietantes y claramente establecen un evidente crimen contra los animales (o niños). Después de ver el material que les envío, entenderán que éste es indicativo de actos ilegales de crueldad animal (o abuso infantil) tal y como se establece en las leyes de protección animal y otros relevantes estatutos locales e internacionales. Les pido respetuosamente que apliquen sus recursos para eliminar este material y penalizar a los perpetradores con los crímenes pertinentes.

What to do if you witness a case of abuse and violence towards animals or children on Internet?
We often find pictures or videos portraying violence towards animals or children. On the majority of occasions there’s no way to find out who is behind this abuse, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing we can do. Here are the steps you can follow:
1. Don’t report it to Facebook – If you see such images on Facebook, or pages or groups sharing them, it is very important not to report it to FB, as they will only delete it, and with it the chance to find out information about how, when, and mainly who, is behind it.
2. Report it to Interpol on this link: Interpol
3. Fill in the requested fields:
– Your e-mail
– Subject (you can use something like “Graphic Violence on Facebook”)
– On the message, copy the URL address of the picture or video you want to report, and add a short message, such as the one below:
“I have been witness to blatant animal cruelty (or child abuse) on Facebook at the following link: xxxxx
These images are extremely disturbing and clearly establish blatant crimes against animals (or children). After viewing the provided material, you will understand that this is indicative of unlawful acts of animal cruelty (or child abuse) as established by the (Animal Welfare Act) and relevant local and international statutes. I respectfully request that your resources be applied to remove this material and charge the perpetrators with relevant unlawful crimes.
